Director Bio

‘Lensmangops Pictures’ is Gop’s dream launch to fulfill his vision of giving the world some innovative movies! While on the one hand, his passion for photography led him to experimenting and consequently learning all the nuances involved in using a camera; his quest for good cinema, coupled with his acute interest in being a part of the magical, make-believe world of movies, also gained a stronghold over him. During the course of this wonderfully exciting journey, Gops has had the chance to savor many different genres and schools of cinema, ranging from the absolute brilliant movies to the mediocre ones, down to the ones we can all do without! Not surprisingly, this journey of his continues as he learns and imbibes something new each day… Fed on all this knowledge and armed with dollops of talent and creativity, slowly, but steadily, he started giving shape to his cinematic visions. The most tangible seeds of this were sown in 2008, a year that heralded the launch of Lensmangops Pictures. With a mind that never tires of thinking, he has already borne numerous storylines, all waiting to be etched and eternally stored in the annals of movie making.

Director's Statement

We had a friend called Jerin, whom we lost touch with 8 years back. One fine day / moment, he decided to move away from us - for no reason! This has been on my mind ever since… One such day, when remembering him, along came the thought of making a film based on this experience. ‘The Ballad of the Waves’ is my attempt & a joined effort of all other friends to bring Jerrin back to our team… We need him back with us!
