Director Bio

Vinay Ghodgeri studied film in Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore, after completing a degree in English Literature. His work reflects an interest in folk music, poetry and the revelations of everyday life.

Director's Statement

Going into a small town/village with a four member crew, handling non-actors, a moody buffalo and virtually no production, this film was made in a guerilla style. In a reflection of the act of making, on returning to the town later, the director was confronted with singular events in the film repeating in real life on the banks of the river where it was shot.

Crew and Cast Bio

The cinematographer Ashwin Bhaskaran has also studied from Srishti and has contributed his keen visual sense to the film. The cast is entirely made up of non-actors, some of whom are members of the director’s family in his village.
