Director Bio

Suryaa, a MBA graduate, works with TCS as an HR Assistant Manager. Being passionate about film-making but having zero experience, he set out to make a short film, En Uyir Thozhan, which ended up receiving widespread appreciation from critics, magazines and web portals.

Being the son of the famous Tamil novelist Balakumaran, Suryaa has inherited his father’s flair for writing. His dialogues for the short films Strings and Puducherry to Chennai have won much applause. He has also penned the lyrics for songs in other forthcoming short films and commercials.

A very jovial person by nature, Suryaa’s only ambition in life is to be a successful director and make movies across different genres which are enjoyed by people across different age groups.
