Director's Statement
The idea of Anaavaranam started with the idea of exploring an old man’s last few hours before his death. The idea of the old man being a magician made the last hours of his life even more interesting. Another image that came to me was that of a small girl clad in red running, her face happy and excited. The story took form from there. I decided to keep the story rooted in Kerala culture and traditions.
